What Makes Personal Advocacy Different?

Parents may enroll their child now as a means of planning for future needs, or may elect to have services begin immediately, based on the following costs and guidelines:

Future Planning

Immediate Implementation

  • Families will pay a one-time enrollment fee of $1,000 to establish a personalized Plan of Care that will follow their loved one throughout his or her lifetime.
  • Personal Advocacy will review and update the Plan of Care once a year with an annual fee of $300.00. This update is necessary in lieu of services to ensure that the Plan of Care remains current with appropriate changes and/or additions.
  • One-time initial enrollment of $1,000 is required to establish a Plan of Care.
  • Services will be delivered per families' requests, usually equaling 48 hours annually. This total will accommodate most situations, with a Personal Advocate meeting your loved one approximately one hour per week or two hours twice per month.
  • Services must equal 48 hours annually to waive the annual update fee of $300. In meeting this minimum requirement, the fee is waived with the understanding that the Plan of Care will be automatically updated as services are delivered.
  • Any hours that families request above the 48-hour minimum, are billable quarterly on an hourly basis.

Billing for Service Hours

  • Quarterly at $288, covering hours to be used during that period, or one fourth of the annual 48 hours. ($1,152 total)
  • $1000 in advance in one lump some for the annual 48 hours. ($152 savings.)
  • $24 per hour in excess of 48 hour annual allotment.

*Personal Advocacy is paid for by families.

*SSI Funds can be applied to fees and services.

*Endowments will fund those in financial need.
